Passports and Visas

Well this week has turned out very different than I thought it would!

Friday we got our passports in, so we packed a bag so that we could go to Houston either Sunday evening or Monday morning.  At church on Sunday, our pastor told us that they would really like it if we could leave for Manchester sometime this week. Two of the other girls going to India are in Manchester right now, waiting on one of their visas. They would like it if we could meet up with them in Manchester, and then we  could all fly to Guwahati together.  That would be really nice for several reasons.

1:  The flight from here to Manchester is 8 hours, and then from Manchester to Guwahati is 8 hours, so it would put a little break in the flight.

2:  We would all four be on the same flight, so it would be WAY more fun.

3:  We would be able to go to ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we left for Houston Sunday after church, and we stayed with my Aunt. We all thought that it would be better to get in later that evening, than have to wake up early Monday morning in order to get to the consulates office. We turned in our paperwork Monday morning and they said that it would be 24-48 hours processing time. At first we were a little upset because we had heard that it would be a 30 min type thing, but after we calmed down a little, it has turned out to be a huge blessing!  We are able to spend some extra time with my aunt and my cousin, we are able to slow down for a day or two, and if we had shipped it in, it would have taken several weeks.
We are currently waiting on the E-mail that says that the visas are ready.  I am very thankful for this time, we are able to relax and have some fun with my family before we leave.
